Thanks to everyone that took part. Nobody, I’m afraid, got the correct answer, although there were one or two close guesses. This skull is, infact, from a mole. You can tell mostly by a combination of the size and the well developed canine teeth, among other details.

I’m quite surprised this is from a mole! I never considered that as an option, possibly because mole skeletons must be very rarely found and I thought the fierce teeth should have belonged to a fast moving predator. Very interesting though!!
